Newton Exterior Painting with a Workmanship Warranty
Exterior painting is a rewarding experience when you hire conscientious and professional exterior painters. We've been serving Newton and all of its villages since 1999.
Save thousands by painting rather than replacing your siding. Transform aluminum siding, vinyl siding, wood, cedar, and stucco structures.
Exterior Home Maintenance Peace of Mind
Our exterior painting contractors give your home a health check-up during the painting project. We'll let you know if we discover moisture problems, wood rot, mold and mildew, insect invasion, energy loss, or other items silently doing harm. So you can take action, and hire the appropriate professional to get these items fixed as needed.
ProTEK Will Be My First Call for Painters Going Forward!
John, and the ProTEK team, was professional from start to finish. John did a thorough examination of our property and provided a fair quote. His team showed up on time and did the work in record-breaking time! He was even quick to respond and deliver on follow-up requests we had after the work was finished.

ProTEK Painters Exterior Painting FAQs
Browse our house painting FAQs for general questions.
You'll also find great information at our blog. There's an entire section on exteriors to include historic home restoration, ideas for painting doors and trim, repairing window frames, how to hire a painting contractor, and even a house painting glossary.
1. What Can I Expect at the Estimate Appointment?
You'll meet with the owner, John Guarino. The appointment takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your painting project. First, we'll walk the exterior of the house together to note your wants and concerns. We will talk about repair and maintenance, paint product options, and color choices. Then, we will take careful measurements and prepare a detailed, written free estimate.
Last, we'll sit down together, go over the proposal, and answer your questions. Extra work (such as repairs) may be itemized so you know the total cost to paint your house upfront. No surprises.
2. Will You Help Us Choose Our Paint Colors?
The color options for your Newton paint job are infinite. Though we'll gladly offer our opinions and feedback, we suggest you bring home samples from your local paint store and work with a paint color chart. Then, if you like, we can schedule a free consultation with our Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams color specialist.
Color matching is also available. Try to get a small paint sample from a friend or neighbor's home you like, or your own, and we can provide computer-matching technology. Let your painter know if you have questions about paint colors for more personalized recommendations.
3. What Preparation is Done Before Residential Painting?
Exterior paint job preparation includes pressure washing, light carpentry, scraping, sanding, caulking, priming, and finally, painting. But there may be more work to do depending on the condition of your siding and trim. Our local painters and carpenters resolve even the most challenging exterior house painting problems. We'll help you choose a time when we have the best temperature for painting outside to ensure the success of your painting project.
For your part in preparation for painting services, please:
- Move your vehicles away from the house.
- Remove fragile or breakable items from the work area. We can move heavy items for you.
- Trim trees and landscaping that lay against the siding.
- Secure your pets before our arrival.
From the time of your free estimate through your satisfaction inspection, you'll have easy access to John or his team when questions arise.
Paint Your Home's Exterior with Confidence
An Excellent and Professional Experience Overall. Again!
When customers go back to the same service provider again and again, that's usually the best recommendation. That's the case for us with John Guarino and his crew at ProTEK Painters. John's crew painted our 1929 colonial in Newton about a dozen years ago, and we've just used him to do it again. In between, we used ProTEK to paint the entire interior. Each time, the prep work was first-rate, which is essential. Careful power-washing, spot sanding and priming. The crew works extremely hard, and John used a huge gang of eight or so for our house so the job was done in two long days. Scheduling was easy. The crew is respectful of shrubs and grounds and cleans up carefully. We decided to add some extras and John obliged at a reasonable additional charge. His quote was a bit higher than the lowest bidder, but way below the top quote.
