Historic Bungalow Transformation
Our recent exterior painting project showcases the revitalization of a charming early 20th-century bungalow in West Newton's historic village center. The key features of this home include a low-pitched roof, wide eaves, and prominent front porch.
This project demonstrates our expertise in preserving architectural heritage while providing modern durability.
Bringing New Life to a Stately Italianate
For this bungalow, we carefully selected a palette that pays homage to traditional New England color schemes while giving it a contemporary touch.
The main body of the house was painted in Mineral Grey, a color that harmonizes beautifully with the lush, tree-lined streets of West Newton. Accents in High Reflective White highlighted the intricate woodwork and trim.
By choosing ProTEK for their painting needs, the homeowners ensured their historic home would continue to be a proud part of West Newton’s architectural tapestry for years.
About West Newton: Your Historic Village
West Newton has some of the most popular restaurants in the 13 villages. With settlers as early as the 1600s, it is also one of the oldest. Like many of your neighbors, your village center was divided in the sixties, but most of the commercial district stayed together.
You can find the West Newton Cinema, and the 60 plus-year-old, family-owned The Barn surrounded by other shops.
West Newton is one of the most diverse villages in every way. Whether you own an affordable, modern home, or a historic Cape Cod, trust ProTEK when it is time to paint.
With the age of many houses around town, lead is a concern, and we are lead certified.
Customer Reviews
Quick, Efficient and Very Skilled!
This was a big job at our house - a two-unit Victorian in the city. We had the exterior fully painted, while putting new railings and balusters on three porches, and replacing a large amount of rotted wood all around the exterior. John at ProTEK and his crew, led by Junior, were the right people for the job. From the beginning, John was clear and accessible (he replies quickly to emails and texts). The crew was at all times courteous and friendly - not to mention very skilled and effective at what they do. It was a great job, at a reasonable price, carried out quickly and efficiently but with care. I highly recommend ProTEK of Newton.
