Colonial-Era Cottage Restoration

Colonial-era cottages tell the architectural story of Weston as the town transitioned from rural farming to an affluent enclave. Homes like this one often have many layers of old paint, worn wood, or outdated exterior materials. These surfaces require careful preparation like repairing wood rot or treating the surfaces before applying new paint.

Benjamin Moore Paint Colors Used:

Body: Blue Flower

Trim: River Blue and Super White

Our exterior painters specialize in preserving Weston's heritage while maintaining original charm through meticulous surface preparation and period-appropriate color selection.

Shake Shingle Siding Transformation

This shake shingle home exemplifies Weston's blend of traditional New England architecture with coastal-inspired serenity. While Weston isn't a coastal town, wood siding requires extra care due to our proximity to rivers and wooded areas.

Special Considerations:

Extended surface preparation including cleaning and sealing
Moisture protection for damp conditions
UV-resistant finish for long-lasting color

Result: Restored with Behr Whisper White for a classic, welcoming appearance.

Complete Exterior and Deck Refresh

Beyond the main house exterior, we restored the back deck that had suffered UV damage over years. Even with Weston's mature tree canopy, direct sunlight can cause fading and discoloration. Using UV-resistant paints and finishes can help maintain vibrant, long-lasting colors despite the exposure.

Our Solution:

UV-resistant paints and finishes
Specialized deck preparation and sealing
Weather-resistant topcoats for longevity

Decks are often a focal point of shake-shingle homes, so our Weston painters were thrilled to help these homeowners refresh their charming outdoor space.
